I am trying to find out how many individuals are reproted as suffering brain injuries in the U.S. each year -- whether it be stroke, TBIs, hospital injuries, sports injuries etc. What sources would provide me with this information? I am researching this information for a presentation.
I have heard that a head injury/TBI occurs every 6 seconds in the USA. I think that this pertains to mild, mod., severe concussions, TBI. Not sure, though.
PS.-- The supposed number 1 brain injury facility for therapy and therapist training is in New York. Might want to google with that state first.
