Asked about “What kind of engine oil should i use in my diesel generator? on QueryCAT”

Northstar 6500 generator 10 HP disel

I have a 10 hp yanmar disel engine in a 6500 northstar generator

They call for a 20W40 weight oil,I can't find that weight oil around here

Would a 15W40 or 20W50 be ok to use

Better order it from AMSOIL.com or check a TractorSupply.com. It can be found online... but it might be more expensive then the 20X50w
