North Korea, Iran joined on missile work: U.S. general

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iran and North Korea are working together to develop ballistic missiles and have made significant progress, the head of the Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency said on Thursday.

"It really is an international effort going on out there to develop ballistic missile capability between these countries," Army Lieutenant General Patrick O'Reilly told a forum on Capitol Hill.

Iran and North Korea each is at odds with much of the international community over their nuclear programs, and North Korea has tested an atomic bomb. Each has demonstrated a capability to launch missiles with more than one stage, critical to more advanced systems.

They are sharing know-how on avionics, propulsion and materials, among other things, O'Reilly said. "We've seen it for years and it continues," he said of such cooperation between North Korea and Iran, whose Shahab missiles are widely reported to be based on North Korean designs.

Yes, of course.  Iran is going to get what's coming to it.  They're going to get it and get it "good," hopefully in time (just watch).

As far as the so-called Whatever "Republic" of North Korea is concerned, they've been a thorn in our side for some 60 years.  We should have listened to General Douglas A. MacArthur when he was OK TO GO.  History has a way of repeating itself.  We'll have to wait to see if a REAL man comes to the fore.  "Old soldiers never die.  They just fade away."  In your heart, you know he's right.

While it is true that "blessed are the peace makers," it is also true that, in our human condition, war is sometimes necessary.  When that time comes, no matter how liberal or soft hearted you think you are, you will want red blooded men (and women) with the heart to fight until the last drop of their blood to defend your homes, your families, and your lives, if not our beloved country.
