Nokia is about to buy Trolltech. Could this have any influence on the development of KDE?
They claim it won't have any influence on the development of KDE, take a look at the link to Open Letter to the Open Source Community at the page you linked to.
However, Skype is also developed on Qt and I wonder what they are thinking now.
