I hope that more influential bands take this trend and turn it into common practice. The consumers and the bands will win from this situation and the middle man will be cut (The record companies, that when you think about it who needs them?). I would expect bands such as Pearl Jam and perhaps Chris Cornell's group to follow in their footsteps. It will take a lot of guts but in the long run I think it'll pay off for the bands, who stick with this method.
