I'm shooting with a nikon d200 that supports Nikon's new compressed raw format. Photoshop CS1 seems to only support the uncompressed version. Installing nikon View gives you a plug in to Photoshop that opens Nikon's raw file formats, but at the cost of losing all the nifty photoshop pre-editing corrections. You can only set exposure compensation and white balance.
Does anyone know of another way to open up Nikon compressed raw pictures in photoshop cs1 (without upgrading)?
have you tried upgrading the camera raw plugin?

I tried that.
Apparently Adobe no longer supports CS1. They stopped creating new versions of the CS converter before the D200 came out. A new plugin for CS2 is available for the D200 format, but it doesn't work with CS1 .
