I live in northern NJ and in the woods and parks there's a type of insect that "sings" at night up in the trees, in a chorus. One will start and then the others start and as one is winding down another is starting......it just goes on and on. Since it's at night, it's not cicadas (I know what they sound like anyway) I used to think they were katydids but when someone told me that I was wrong, I found a sound clip of them and I guess it's not katydids since they sound different. What they heck are they???Thanks from Parsippany
