Was Nicole Kidman dumped BECAUSE she's pregnant, or just because she's considered too old?
Who would be a better model, Nicole Kidman (with or without her pregnancy) or Audrey Tautou?
SHe was dumped because they grew tired of her...

I think Chanel is just looking for a younger and fresher face. Kidman has been the spokesperson for Chanel since 2004 and I think her image for the product is just getting old. I think she's a beautiful woman as is Audrey Tautou. No doubt Tautou has some large shoes to fill.

I think she was replaced for a new look, however. They may possibly be releasing a new fragrance too. Wasn't that campaign at least five years old too? I think they definitely needed a change and she did only do that one campaign for them. I honestly don't think they made the change because she's pregnant. There are laws that protect women from that happening. Unless she signed a contract dictating she would not become pregnant. Or perhaps she decided she didn't want to work for a while and made the change herself and its merely coming out as really bad gossip. I think its the latter of the two.
Unfortunately, the age of the model is not the determining factor of the effectiveness of an ad campaign. Instead, research groups conduct marketing studies as to the demographics of the retailer (Chanel) and whether the model fits the profile. Although Nicole Kidman is an attractive well spoken model, she no longer fits the Chanel profile. Sorry.
