Nicky Hilton and Lauren Conrad: talented designers?

Nicky Hilton just had a runway show for her latest fashion line "Nicholai". Lauren Conrad made her designer debut at Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week. Do you think that these girls actually have talent or was it only their fame that has enabled them to break through into the fashion industry?

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Neither of them are innovative or interesting...but gun to my head I'd say Nicky is far more talented and bothered to do some actual designing.I feel that Lauren probably had a team of designers and slapped her name on the finished product.I wish both of them would just go away.

Music is forever.

I have to agree with MusicIsMyHotHotSex. I don't think either are innovative in their designs. I don't think either of these girls actually have talent. I think it was only their fame that enabled them to break through into the fashion industry. Money talks, plain and simple. There are so many other talented designers that will never make it into the business because they do not have the financial backing needed to break into the business.
