Help! Baby won't wake to feed Congratulation on your bundle of Joy

Each child is different for amounts. When they are that young, they do need to eat and you need to wake them up. This can be a two person job at first.
When waking your baby up/ or during feeding (to the baby)...
-take a cooler wash clothe to the feet / face
- tap feet
-be skin to skin
-daddy can help try to wake baby and keep baby stimulated while feedings
-Keep lights on
- reposition child

** It is VERY important your child is eating...

I'd say count your blessings. He'll eat when he's hungry. And wake up for it on his own. Don't force him to eat. As long as he's healthy there's no problem.

If your baby wasn't born underweight, and has regained the weight he lost since birth, I say let him be. Adjusting to the life outside the womb is a shock that takes some getting used to. If he feeds well when he does eat, and there's no reason to suspect he's losing weight - let him sleep. Some babies only feed a few times a day after birth. It will change dozens of times.

If he wants to eat - give him as much as he wants (especially if you're breastfeeding). If not - 3-4 hours. If you are breastfeeding (which I highly recommend), bear in mind that a feeding can take as long as an hour sometimes, and that's fine. He just wants to feel his mommy close by...
