New cowboys stadium

Chelle, as a lifelong Redskins fan I am a natural born Cowboys hater, but you've forced me to do the impossible, and that's offer some sort of defense for the worst GM in pro football, Jerry Jones. Every NFL team is doing the same. In the early 80's I had 3 season tickets to skins game costing a total of 480 for 8 games with 3 exhibition games optional. By 1996 the skins had a new stadium and these 3 tickets cost 1,950 (10 games at 65 per seat per game) and the now PRE-SEASON games, which no one cares about, required as a part of the season ticket purchase.

It can be worse, I have a friend who had to buy a 4,000 personal seat liscense PSL) for the priviledge of buying season tickets to see St. Louis Rams games. The bottom line, pro sports have become unaffordable to the average income family and that's a shame. Regular folks built the sport but wealthy folks will maintain it in the style to which it has become accustomed. 

Y are people obscessed with sports? Y watch a bunch of athletes throw, kick or putt a ball for millions of dollars. You fans are being suckered.

Becoming a Cowboys fan after a whole lifetime of hating these guys (in the competitive sense that is) is not likely but thanks for the invite anyway.

Chelle, there are afforable tickets at the new stadium.  I believe they are for around $29 a piece.  There are no seats but an area where you can stand.  I believe that is what Jerry said Friday night.  If I heard him wrong, someone please tell me.  No matter how much folks dislike Jerry, he did have everyone in mind when he built the stadium.

Gary, you would be better off crossing over.  We welcome you with open arms.  Go Cowboys!

Robin, thanks for the invite but that's an offer I can easily refuse. That wouldn't be "crossing over", it would be going under. As I said in an earlier post, I do sympathize with Cowboy fans on one thing and that's your owner/GM. These guys made a lot of money (I'm including "The Danny") in other business ventures and now they're convinced they can own and run a pro football team and their record speaks for itself. Even Parcells and Gibbs couldn't rescue the teams from really bad personnel decisions and I don't see that changing. Meantime, the Giants and Eagles continue to be successful because their owners don't need the ego feed that Jerry and The Danny have to have. OK, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
