The New Yorker is going with a cover that shows OPbama as a Muslim, and his wife carrying.
They say it's satiric.
Is this funny, or is this racism?
It may be satiric but it is also in bad taste.

It is clearly racism. Obama is not a muslim and him nor his wife is a terrorist. They do this because he's black and has a foreign name. They want to associate him with terrorist and muslims to cause fear in the american people. Obviously they are bigots. So what if he was muslim. This is a free country and unless the New Yorker feels that being muslim is un american than, why couldnt or shouldnt a muslim run for president. The last one we had was a christian and you see how fucked up things are now. What if his name was Rico or Carlos or Jamal or... Is the New Yorker saying that only white Europiean names are acceptable for U.S. presidents. That is exactly what they are saying. They are also saying that Having a black president with a muslim name is danjerous for the american people. Maybe its just comody but there is a hidden political and social and cultural representation in it. The person who drew it and the person(s) who published it should be shunned and discraced and ashamed. Fuck Them!
Be Blessed.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.
Wise Ali,
I probably wouldn't use some of your exact words but I agree with you.
I certainly was not amused.
