What should I do for New Years in Chicago?

I'm going to visit a friend in Chicago for New Years. What are the best sites to see and are there any big New Years parties that I should know about?

You can go to Eve of the Eve 2008 party at union station and start the party early  (30 Dec). I think the biggest party will be held at the Hilton but it's going to be difficult to get tickets.

About the sites to see in Chicago you should visit :

Sears Tower, Navy Pier, John Hancock Center , Millennium Park, Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park, Shedd Aquarium  there are also lots of museums and great restaurants.
