What is the future of Pediatric Nurse Practioners in CA?  I hear that a PhD will soon be required to practice?  Is this true?

Many students hope to enter the field of nursing as family nurse practitioners. To become a nurse practitioner, students must complete a graduate program in nursing, such as a Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. Several universities in the state of California offer degree programs for future nurse practitioners, including the University of San Francisco, Loma Linda University, and the University of California in San Francisco.
