You need to have a really good reason to have left your job in order to received unemployment benefits in New Jersey. If you open a claim to file you will be most likely fought on it by your employer in which you quit on. Unemployment only goes back two year if I’m not mistaken so you’ll only be allowed to collect for 6 months since the rest of your money has been eaten up by welfare. The other part of trying to collect is the game also. It depends on what part of New Jersey or county you’re in. So will do their best to help you and work with you while ours will do their best to make sure you don’t get your benefits also.
