New Borns

Do babies reach out and hold the hands of doctors & nurses, when C-Section operations, or even normal deliveries are done?

You may recall a picture taken in 1999, that was titled by USA Today as a hand that touched the world.  ("Hand of a fetus touched the world.")   The photographer that took the picture is Michael Clancy, and the doctor's hand that Samule is holding belongs to Dr. Joseph P. Bruner.

I do not know if Samuel pushed his hand through the whole and grabbed the finger or the doctor pulled his hand out, but that baby is grabbing the doctors finger - which i what babies do as instinct and it is still an incredible photo!

I personally believe the photographer that Samuel's hand came out.

Miss Debs:

I Thank You for your reply.  My wife brought the picture and story to my attention of the unborn baby  "shaking hands with the doctor shortly after it happened.  I was a mentor to grammar school children, in a HOSTS, and Creative Mentoring Program.  My wife and I have two of her children, two of my children, and one of our own.  We both have daughters that are one week different in age.  Our child / adult is now twenty-five years old.  Our son is the youngest of my mother's forth five grandchildren.  I always tell children, (and adults) to judge people on their handshake.  If you meet someone for the first time, or shake hands with friends & relatives all the time, make a conisous effort to look for, or hear a message.   If you do not hear "Trust Me, I Will Not Drop You, I  Will Not Let You Go," check out the red flags that will automaticly come up.
