4 thumbs up

Adenocarcinoma refers to any malignancy in glandular tissues, Neuroinvasive gives an additional location reference to the diagnosis, making it a cancer of the connection between the Endocrine (glandular) and Nervous systems.

There are many, many sub-categorical references to this type of diagnosis, giving further specificity to the location as well as staging/grading of the tumor.

Glucose Induced Events: Vildan N. Civelek, M.D., Ph.D., Prof., Endocrinologist, http://civelek.wetpaint.com, Email: vncivelek{at}gmail.com. In this research temporal sequence of glucose-induced intracellular metabolic (pyridine and flavine nucleotide redox state, Oxygen[O2] consumption, ATP/ADP ratio) and ionic (intracellular Hydrogen and cytoplasmic free Calcium) changes following addition of glucose to living beta-cell suspension has been determined. To determine the times when the earliest and half-maximal changes occurred multiple fluororescence spectrophotometric methods were used. In response to glucose a small decrease in the ATP/ADP ratio is among the earliest changes like the immediate changes in pyridine[NAD(P)H] and flavine (FAD) nucleotide redox state; this is followed by an increase in O2 consumption and the ATP/ADP ratio and then a rise in intracellular hydrogen ion concentration. After all these changes Calcium reached its half-maximal value at about 325±20 seconds.
