I looked up and saw the world and wondered....
What can you do for people that only want to depend on you for all their needs and when they feel you should give more them you think is right they become sullen or nasty?
Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

Are these people friends or family members?
First, remember that no one can take advantage of you without your permission.
Next, if this is a family member then you will have to continue to deal with this person as best you can. I suggest you calmly do as you think best and refuse to be drawn into an argument.
If you do not share living space, then it will be easy to keep your distance from the sullen or nasty behavior. If you live together, then perhaps you should inform this person that that kind of behavior is neither welcome nor tolerated; then leave the room and that person behind.
If it is a friend, then this person is obviously not a true friend. Stop aiding, start standing up for yourself. Leave and don't look back.

Thank you for your advice. It is my soon to be step children. I usually can empathize with them but I really it seems sometimes I am walking around shaking my head. LOL The one living with us will be eighteen in July and has a mom that would love him to come back. He was supposedly coming for two weeks (turned into six months) so now he says he is going back to his mom. Or perhaps it's a ploy to get his way. Whatever the case, your advice really helped me today. Is'nt it funny though, when you hear the word "tolerance"; which we all need more of , it feels like hammer on the head.LOL
Thank you for your reply. When ever I feel this life is getting to me I turn it over to God. I'm not well versed on the Bible but it was really good to read Galatians. Good food for the sprirt is always welcome to me.
Prayer is the key to everything. If you pray why worry and if you worry why pray. that helps me make it through all the tough times when i question,if i am doing the right thing, just saying that reminds me that I am not in control and that god is.
