Need for revision? What symptoms.

I had a THR in 1994. Great results. No pain. But recently bending over to pick up my golf ball out of the hole I had a sharp pain down the top of my thigh. Is this indicative of a loosening or other problem? I am very active. What symptoms when plastic insert wears out? Thanks

You need to consult a doctor. Due to your personal circumstances, it would be wrong to try and tell you that it's the same problem you had before.

If it's consistent, deffinately ask your original surgeon.  This is the best place to start.  He/She will answer your concerns or direct you to the right doctor.  Good Luck and let me know how you make out.  I am a total spine metal replacement/surgical support.
