I homeschool my sons, but am having trouble brushing up on my very rusty math, please I need help. Q: A triangle drawn on a map has sides of lengths 7cm,11cm,and 14cm.Find the longest of the real-life distances?
Since it is a triangle and the scale is not given, the real life triangle will be the same, just in different units of measure. The longest distance that is drawn on the map is the 14cm.
You will need to take the scale of the map to determine the real-life distance.
For example, if the sale is 1cm=5m then the longest distance will be 14 x 15m so the distance will equal 210 m.
Hope this helps
