Need ideas for indoor/outdoor activities or games for my 98 year old grandma?!? Please Help!!!

I'm looking for some ideas for either indoor activities or outdoor activities for my 98 year old grandmother? My grandma lives w/ my family and she is soo bored - she only watches tv and sleeps all day and my parents and i wish we could give her more to do but we're outta ideas. My grandma is hard of hearing and she has trouble w/ her vision as well. She can still both see and hear but not too well.

Can anyone give us any ideas of any indoor or outdoor activities for summer/winter - things to do, games to play, or places to go that we can do w/ her?!?!

If she plays board games get her chess. i think she can also play any simple rpg games as people with not so good eyesight can also see the characters and play using arrow keys....

Try it out.

Send and/or take her on a senior citizen's cruise, she should love it. They have lots of indoor and outdoor activities great for seniors. Check web sites such as: http://www.trekkersjournal.com/cruises/are-you-considering-a-senior-citizen-cruise-374

Look around and find the best prices, a lot of these companies give senior discounts.

My husband is a nurse who works with elderly people. He says that one thing they enjoy very much is a fish tank. The fish and plants are very beautiful. You would have to learn how to take care of them but it might be worthwhile.  If not fish, then any small pet in a terrarium such as a lizard or turtles. Things like that are fun and interesting to watch. The elderly enjoy pets just as we all do.

thanks for the info. I will save and check out that website you gave me.

Get your grandmother a small short hair puppy. Preferably 14 wks or older. They can entertain each other.
