I agree with the advice to just ask/answer questions and have fun.
I haven't found it necessary to list any topics or to provide any more than the basic details about myself (and very few of those).
And yet, I'm up to over 2,000 answers and thumbs up. See? If I can do it, ANYONE can do it!
