A chemical compound is a substance consisting of two or more different elements chemically bonded together in a fixed proportion of mass. These can be held together by bonds (Covalent or Ionic). I love science, yes I am a dork.

Be the First To Know something New

It is the combination of multiple Elements with some ratio, depending upon their valancies(bounding capabilities).

compounds are more sustainable in nature. thats why we don't find elements alone, except hellogen elements (hardly 10 elements) and all others are found in compounds..

examples are water(H2-O), Oxigen(O2), Sault(Na-O-H)
