I dont know how your Vet handles things but I'm SURE if you talk to him, you can work out a payment plan. I have to go right now to MY VET and give him some cash for money I OWE too! It happens. See what you can do. Make sure you talk to THE Vet, NOT some secretary. Go In and ask to talk to him, tell those clerks at the front desk its VERY important that you speak directly to your Doctor. Let me know what happens. I have this topic on 'watch' so if you reply, I'll see it. if he's stubborn and wont help you make some sort of arrangement, we'll try something else! I'll do my best to research and help any way I can.

You can check with other local veterinarians in the area to see if one may take this case---I know of a vet in Gates County, NC who is quite reasonable and I can get more info for you if you like.

You can also try university vet schools, such as NC State or Va Tech---however they do charge a fee, but it may not be quite as high.

We recently had to take our poodle to NC State for some hospitilization, ultrasounds, and CT scan--it was cheaper but still a fee. I would certainly recommend the Gates County, NC vet if that is within driving distance of where you are located.
