I don't know to what extent you do restoration work, but I'll share with you my approach, though I will admit to a somewhat limited exposure to it (I am certainly no professional restorer). First, I would check local auto upholsterers, especially the "old guys". They are a wealth of knowledge. Also, they may be able to fabricate something that will work just fine, especially since this is an item that is not seen, unless you're referring to the stainless ones that install on the exposed side of the headliner. Next, I would try the local junkyards, especially the ones who have been around for a long time. Some of them have parts interchange guides that go back a number of years, although most of the time they just have experience in knowing what will and what will not work. When you find out what years and models will fit, you can put out a feeler for the items through junkyards with a "hotline" service (slight chance someone will respond on a car this old). I would stay away from the "parts locator" sites on the internet that charge a fee for their service, unless you can find one who will not charge a fee if they do not find the item. Most of them won't try unless you pay them a fee and most are a big waste of time and money (been there, done that) They've got your money and that's really what they are interested in. The auto restorers who do a lot of resto work have a number of sources. Most of them are pretty helpful because they don't want to have people giving out a negative feedback since many of them rely on word-of-mouth to get business. I've discovered one thing about resto work the one project I had to really, really dig to find parts for and that is - don't get in any hurry whatsoever. You might as well plan on spending a couple of years locating and rounding up parts you will need. Of course, it's a labor of love or you wouldn't be undertaking such. The parts will eventually surface. I'm assuming you've set up a search category for the item on eBay. I seem to get a good result on the categories I list. Keep the description to a minimum so you don't get constant notices of parts you really aren't looking for. Once you find out from a knowledgeable person models you know will fit you can use that info in your description so that you will not be bothered by unneeded "hits". Well, I don't know if all this is a help, but I understand what time can go into such as this and I just wanted to pass along what I've experienced. Maybe there's something here you can use. Happy hunting.
