Need financial help fast, permanently dsabled and close to loosing everything including a roof over my head

I am a 53 year old divoced male and father of two , my ex-wife committed suicide a month ago leaving alot of debt i had to pay off because my children were legally adults living in her home after graduting from college this past spring. If i did not pay the debt she left behind my kids would of had to bare that burden. so i spent every penny i had and borrowed more to help them. unfortunitly, as a result i may end up homeless and without an auto mobile which i desperatly need because i am permanently disabled and have to visit several doctors a month, i have had over 33 invasive surgical procedures done and have six prosthetics inside of me. I need financial aid and fast. can any one give advice as to what grants or aid i am eligible for asap Sincerely yours, Kevin, eMail me at criskat00@aol.com Thank You

Talk to Catholic Family Services and the United Way in your town. If they can't help you, they may be able to give you lists of resources of organizations that can. Talk to churches. Apply for HUD housing. Basically, apply for anything and everything you can find.

A penny saved  is a penny earned

Good answer bonestructure. Wink

I wanted to ask about children still living in house.  Whose name is it in and why can't you live there, since you paid so many debts for them from your ex  and as their father,  if they dont have alot money but if they drive, they should take you to the doctors or anywhere you want to go.  You helped them  now you need them to help you

Check in everything that bonestructure said and

Also check with disability  & social security for help.  And  salvation army.  If neither one of you was re-married at the time of her death,  i believe you would get a ss check for being widower.

Good luck to you at this time and my condolence to you your family for your loss.

God bless

I think you should get a hold of some professional credit counseling advice.  You can get a free consultation over the phone from a professional debt counselor to see what your options are.  If you dont know where to look the try an online service like http://www.BudgetPlanners.net ... hope this helps.
