Dear Kelly, I still live with my parents who built a new home. I experienced some trauma as a child and because of this I need a lot of light, thus windows, especially in a restroom. I have the master bedroom on the second level and a window could not be put in my restroom due to location of the plumbing in the wall. The guest bathroom does not have a window either due to its location. Only my parent's restroom in the master bedroom on the main level has a window. This is a problem for me, and I would like to know what you would suggest that would help me with dealing with my, for lack of a better word, fear, of not having a window in my restroom which would provide much more light? My parents even had additional windows added in my bedroom, and the 5th bedroom which I use as my computer/entertainment room. Of course, they were told anywhere they could add additional windows it was something they might want to do. And they did. It made a huge difference throughout the house, especially in our basement where the family room is located. However, my restroom still causes me a lot of anxiety due to not having a window that provides more light and I often feel trapped. I do not know what I can do to work around this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
