Need Help

I have a problem with hydrocodone and I can't quit. If I try the withdraws are unbarable. But if I take it to ease the withdraws I'm just right back where I started from always looking for more. I need help but am so afraid to get it because I don't know who to trust. Any advice?

I don't know much on drug addiction but I can tell you you should not be trying to go through this alone.is there a trusted family member you might be able to go to or a close friend?I know it might be hard to think that you could trust anyone but you would be surprised at the ammount of support that could be available if you just open up.I'm sure they would be very understanding since you are trying to better yourself and you have realized that you have a problem.I found this phone number that may be of help it is for the Absolute 24 hr help line for heroine-methadone oxycotin & hydrocodone detox rehab treatment it is( 1-800-344-9788).Im sorry this is the best I can do. Best wishes to you!!

I am not familiar with that particular drug, but I know for most drug addiction, professional help is the way to go for detox.  Going cold turkey or doing detox on one's own can be dangerous.  Call your family doctor, or local hospital for the name of someone who can help you with this problem.  A friend or family member most likely cannot help you detox but hopefully can be there to love and support you while you go through this.  You are not alone.  There are many addicts out there who hide their addictions and that's why they get worse.  Tell a trusted family member or friend or pastor and just reach out and say "I need help."  Please do what the doctor tells you to do, and go to Narcanon or AA meetings as well if you can.  You sound like you really want to beat this problem and that is a great first step!  God bless and I will pray for you.
