Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries are good places to investigate.  Go online and see what you can find there.

If you are a member of a church community, that may be a good place to start.

Additionally, you can do as NJoy suggests and contact local service agencies in your area, although you should be aware that times are tight for many people, so most organizations' resources are stretched thin.

You might also see if there are any online mother's groups nearby that you can join, as many of them share, sell and trade goods with each other (so it might be a great resource for clothing and other items).

Finally, do you and/or your husband have any skills you can use to trade or barter for goods or services? (I'm thinking something such as cooking, child care, mechanical skills, home repairs, and so on.)

If so, check online sources such as Craigslist or look in your local Pennysaver publication for leads, then make contact with the person whose services or goods you want and propose your trade.
