Neck pain

I'm suffering from neck pain since 3 days ago. I don't have a clue what caused this, it just started one morning. I've never exprienced something like this before, What should I try before the doctor?

you may try warm moist heat for 20 min every few hrs. heat works well with strains or if you slept wrong the heat will help easy the muscle tension. If your not allergic or have any medical conditions that would interfear Take an over the counter ibuprofen or naproxn (advil or aleave) these medication help reduce inflamation. make sure you read the dose instructions. It is always a good idea to take these medications with food to avoid stomach upset. If these things don't work its time to see your doctor.

You can try a cervical collar to provide support to your neck and limit its motion. It also helps in keeping the normal alignment of the neck. You can also try a cervical Pillow, which holds the neck during sleep in the best position to prevent excess stress on the cervical spine.
