i have a question to ask the people of yedda it involves my future in the navy when i join. ok well my father was a naval engineer for 23 years(of course navy if some people didnt notice what naval ment but im sure every1 knows)(also i notice im typeing in text well im used to it wen im on a website asking a question or sumthing). Anyways my grandfather served in(well he died at age 45)world war 2 for the navy. I dont no wut he did. well i wanted to do sumthing that would benifit me after a few years of the military(i want to serve over 25 years.my goal is 30 years of service). So i was thinking of sumthing that my father did which was of course a naval engineer. Yet ever sense i saw a plane take off i new that i wanted to fly 1.(well just to say ive always wanted to fly a P-38 Lightning striker used in world war 2 on the bombings in japan.of course a bomber plane). I still got 4 years untill i graduate but still i like to think of things ahead of time. Sooooooo....would sum1 please help me out here?! i asked my dad and he says do wut u want to do the most. WELL THAT DOESNT HELP ME CUZ EVERY1 TELLZ ME THAT. my buddy thats in the army says that i should be a pilot cuz its kool lol. anyways so wut should i do? the thing that will benifit me in life,or the thing ive always wanted to do? ohh and for the record i like working on things(hint for people)
I am ex-military, also a pilot and an aeronautical engineer. My first suggestion would be to start writing in English and forget the texting. When you're filing a flight plan with the F.A.A. or writing an engineering report, texting is a big no-no. Start learning to write in proper English now before this bad habit grabs ahold of you. My second suggestion would be for you to get your engineering degree first, and than apply to be a Naval Aviator. Your chances of being accepted for flight training would be greatly enhanced. Remember, you will not be a pilot forever (medical, age, etc.), but you will always be an engineer.
