All comments I see here are true.
Another reasons health care is so high is because insurers are in the business to make money PERIOD!! However they are not too smart when they "play doctor" themselves and are willing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to prevent paying medical bills per insurance policy requirements. Ex: My husband's work comp insurance company paid $53,500 in attorney bills to try and prevent paying $15,000 in medical bills, that was for plaintiff's attorney, God only knows what they paid the defense side let alone survellience officers. All the while having every proof possible from many sources that his condition was permanent and total.
Another and very important issue is this, insurers are willing and do pay (at higher rates) health care providers, who are NOT trained and who do not have the time to provide services or techniques, to in turn hire those who ARE TRAINED and STATE LICENSED instead of paying those trained, state licensed providers directly for services prescribed by treating physicians. Does this make sense to you?
