National Allyn super golden stitch sewing machine

I am looking for some info on a National Allyn super golden stitch sewing machine, model #1700.  My dad bought it at a garage sale for 5 bucks, and he needs to find some parts for it.  He is a sewing machine repairman that has been fixing machines since he was in his 20's.  He's now 92 years old.
