As you can see there are many female and male names on the net, I think you should pick a name that carries significance for you, and not just a catchy and cute name. Try to think of pets you had before or characters (real or fictional) that you like.

The best way I name my dogs when I get them, Is by watching thier behaivior for a few days, and thier intrests, and name them that way. I have a small german shepard breed, and when she was younger she used to get into my husbands twinkies, so thus we named her twinkers. Also a really good one is tara, thats what we named our lab pup. Hope this helps, and If you need more there is an internetsite called

Names that i would recommend are Poppy Lucky Goldie and Fetch.  These are four names that are  popular for labradors but if you wanted to be unusual then go for names like Cupid or Frisco.
