Insanity is doing things the same way and expecting different results.

NY Defender online game - controversy

An online game called New York Defender has been launched by a French designer. The game allows gamers to shoot planes that hit the Twin Towers in the former NY skyline. 9/11 survivors are outraged.

Can you blame them? Is this designer completely insensitive? Do you think this game should even be released?

Work hard or go home.

I think the designer of this game is extremely insensitive and the game should not be released to the public. Such "games" can have a real traumatic effect on (or even re-traumatize) those families who lost loved ones in the horrors of 9/11. And any legal fees that it costs to keep the game off the shelves should be paid by the insensitive designer of the game.

If you will it... it is no dream

That sounds pretty rediculous to me.  I can't believe that something like this would be released.  As far as it being made, I've also heard about holocaust games being made, which is even more disturbing.  I'm not surprised that some people are just sick... and would do things like this.  But, I do expect that there will be people who will prevent this game from being put in stores.  I sure hope so.

I don't think there should be any problems with this game.  The United States releases hundred of games a year dealing with shooting, blowing up, and/or running over Nazi zombies, animals, and other humans.  If you want to block one source of indecency and insensitivity, shouldn't you block them all?  You don't see German citizens getting upset about Wolfenstein 3D or the newest Call of Duty release.

awesomeness is never too far from me   XD

I think that the stupid french guy that made that stupid game wasn't thinking about anyone else but himself when he made that game.  he hurt the survivors and he made the families that lost loved ones experience their pain over again.  i know i would die if they ever made a game out of a tragety that happened to either myself or one of my family members. its just not right.  i think that the stupid insensitivity of the french designer is not to be concidered lightly, especially since he knew what he was doing.....stupid french
