I get stuck sometimes on the New York Times crossword puzzle. (1) Is it okay to "cheat" by looking up answers online? (2) Is there a good website for finding answers or hints?
If you consider trying to find the answers of a NYT crossword puzzle as a learning process it is not cheating. There are some words that are repeated at various intervals and these words are quite esoteric so it would pay to get familiar with them. The NYT crossword puzzle has its own way ofpresenting the word to be filled in. Once you get to learn their way of presentation it will be easier next time and soon you might not have the need to "cheat." The NYT is quite secretive with its puzzles so you would have to wait for the answer the following week. If you want to be serious about it you should carefully go over the answers and compare them to your entries. In this way you will find that you are getting more successful. You may never be able to get all the answers but yu will get the satisfaction of being more successful each time you try a new puzzle.
