NYC dot law for face shield on a motorcycle helmet versus goggles

nyc dot motorcycle law 381-7V  Got pulled and and ticketed for not having a face shield on my motorcycle helmet but I had DOT approved goggles and DOT approved helmet.  Is this legal?  The 381 law says that either a face shield or goggles is sufficient.  The officer said look up law 381-7V.

Bull. Reality is, it will usually hurt like hell and leave you with a permanent limp.

Look up the statute and see: in any case, I would go to court (and take the helmet and googles) and fight the ticket. Fact is, it will cost you a lot more than paying the ticket (and it isn't a moving violation, so it shouldn't affect your insurance) but IF you think you are right, do the correct thing and fight the ticket.
