A:I don't think there is one answer to this question. Judaism sees the reason for the creation of the world as an extension of the nature of God Himself. Although there was nothing God is in need of, the act of creating something and giving to it immense gifts, is the reason why the world was created. However, I am no authority and I urge you to research this yourself by speaking with Rabbis or other religious authorities. I don't know what Christianity or Islam teached on this matter.
