In response to Kalyan's post, it is great advice to stand on one's own legs, follow business ethics, etc., But if you look at the poor people of this country, Kalyan, and you see how hard they work just to survive, you can't fault them for effort. They lack the information and the background and infrastructure that you and I have been privileged to be born into. All they need is for them to get a helping hand, the opportunity for a decent education and help in setting up their own business, etc., The fact is they are not competing in a level playing field. They start at a disadvantage while the people who are at an advantage not just pay a blind eye but simply climb over the sore backs of the poor in order to reach higher. In a country like ours everyone has the responsibility to help out the less fortunate a little bit. If in your own family someone is struggling, say they are sick or handicapped or not as intelligent as you, wouldn't you lend them a helping hand? Think of every one as your brother or sister. You are so proud of India, so patriotic, that you finish with a Jai Hind. Have you forgotten that line from the pledge you recited when you were young --all Indians are my brothers and sisters? No one is asking for hand-outs. All they are asking is that others lend a helping hand, and if that is not possible, at least not exploit them.
