Moving cats

my husband and i have eleven cats and we are relocating from pittsburgh, pa to idaho.  we are driving a u-haul in may and are wondering about the best way to transport these little guys.  help!

I've only transported three, so I guess it was easier, but I still think the MO is pretty much the same.

Find carrying boxes (with 11 you should probably opt for the cheaper disposable ones, not so much because of the price as because of the space they take when stored).

The cats won't like it, but they can make it for a few hours. They'll probably complain, and then go to sleep. Do not put water or food in the cages, they won't touch it anyway.

You could opt for putting them to sleep for a few hours, but my vet was very much against it at the time.

When we moved with our cats, we put them in pet taxis in our car.
