I have all of the symptoms that go along with mono. I have been to 2 different doctors. The 1st doc. prescribed me a type of penicillian, and then i went to another doctor to see what they could do for a blood test for strep/ mono. They had told me that the meds i had in the blood came up so they could not read if i had mono or not. I had an apt. with the other doctor the next day they wanted to do some test they did yet another blood test,( both negative.) and my spleen was not enlarged. The doctor believes i still have mono if anything acute mono. I guess my questions are do you have to have an enlarged spleen to have mono as well as should i wait about 3-4 days to do another test like one of my doctors recommended? Please reply and let me know what your thoughts are.
