Molding for home or apartment.

Okay, how do you fix molding around the baseboard that doesn't fit and air gets in. I can push the molding underneath the baseboard. It is not large enough  for the job and I can't replace it either as I rent.

Pull up the quarter round. Caulk underneath the base.  Install  a second piece of base that is not as tall.

And what does renting have to do with this. Most landlords are all too happy to have tenants make improvement to the property at the tenant's expense.
