Greetings Yedda Friends!!

I have made the most wonderful friends and connections here at yedda, but there is something that has been gnawing at me for at least a week now, if not more.

I am crying, sad, confused, and well...lost.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for one of my friends here at yedda, a friend that that I'll just call "10." "10" is someone that I miss hearing from the most. I no longer see myself on the contact list of "10", and it hurts oh so much, so much.

Could it be that I am no longer welcome as a contact, or maybe have been deleted? I have made one attempt to leave a message text? however-I'm not computer literate, and I don't know if "10" ever received it. I do not believe that I was deleted. "10" is way to kind.

Please help, I'm trying to figure this all out.

It is sad when you feel you are no longer considered anyone's friend, especially if that someone was dear to you. I agree that some of the people on Yedda have become friends. I actually know of at least three people who have found their soulmates on site :-)

You are more than welcome to send a private message to "10" and ask for an explanation. Bear in mind though that possibly "10" has decided to move on and no longer uses Yedda, so she might not respond.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do:

I am sorry that you are sad about missing your friend. However, you must understand. This is not a pen pal site. It is a question and answer site. Most of us ask and answer and then move on. People here usually are not looking for long term friendships. My advice is to look at some pen pal sites for people who wish to correspond. Or a dating site if you are looking for someone of the opposite sex.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

I do understand that this is not a pen pal site, and I didn't mean to sound as if I wanted it to be one, and I also didn't intend for it to sound like I was stalking someone. I disagree with you about friendships. I have made some wonderful online connections, and there are some out there that have met online friends, that have gone outside of yedda, to correspond personally.

However, this is not what I am looking for. I am fairly new to yedda, ( and computer illiterate too ) - and I just miss the answers, and the heartwarming comment's this person has given. Short and sweet.

And no, I am not looking to date anyone, or looking for a dating site. I am happily married to my first love and we have married for 30 years.

I just wanted to say Hi to this person every now and again. That's it. And I'm just curious as to why I am no longer a contact.

I don't mean for this to sound mean and bitter, because it's in no way meant to be. I really do thank for your answer.

Keep in mind that it is not necessary for you to be on 10's contact list in order for you to be 10's friend. If you list 10 as YOUR contact, then you can still send 10 messages and keep track of 10's comments and answers on Yedda (unless for some reason 10's profile is closed, which makes it a bit more difficult, but not impossible).

It is also perhaps an oversight on 10's part. Sometimes Yedda ends up listing contacts more than once. If your name ended up on 10's list of contacts in multiple, s/he may have deleted the duplicates and accidentally deleted your name entirely.

I know I've done that with some of my contacts, then not realized it until days later, when I wanted to send them a question and they were no longer in my list of contacts.

I just read your question about your friend..I am so sorry that she won't even answer you why she isn't your friend anymore...That is very rude and if she treated that rude the she wasn't a true friend and you musn't make your self sick......I just met you in the last 2 weeks so you can talk to me any time...I enjoy your questions and answers and seem very sweet and kind....You have been to me...That's how we met....Take care and don't be sick......Yes their is many friends that are true and trifick ( good ) on yedda.
