minwax polyurethane clear stain for molding. If you use this on oak will dry clear with a shine?
Does the can say gloss or semi gloss? The cans I've used say one or the other. If it doesn't say I'd try a little test spot on the back of the piece you are staining. It will probably just bring the color out with a little shine unless you let it dry between coats and do multiple coats to build up shine.
It will dry clear, but may yellow just a little over the years. The shine depends on whether your bought gloss, semi-gloss, or satin. Gloss gives the most shine. Satin gives a subtle sheen.
