Milo Ventimiglia

I recently read that Milo Ventimiglia is vegetarian, and I must say that he has great body. Isn't it necessary to eat meat in order to keep fit?

Most of our body needs could be fulfilled with a proper vegetarian diet. There's no problem of consuming proteins, iron and mineral from alternative sources, as they can be found in dairy products and vegetables. The main problem that vegetarian athletes should be concerned about is lack of B2 Riboflavin and B12 vitamins. Those vitamins can't be found in dairy products. They can found in fortified whole grains, soybeans, dark green leafy vegetables and avocados.

Don't follow in my footsteps, I run into walls.  =)

I don't think one has to eat meat in order to keep fit. I mean, there are other ways to get the protein one misses out on by not eating meat, like taking vitamin supplements. I also happen to think Milo Ventimiglia is very handsome.

He does look great, and I can't wait for Heroes Volume III.

You don't have to eat meat, you have to eat enough, and enough protein. Meat has the advantage of being high-protein, so you can more easily keep to a calories intake regiment while maintaining your protein intake.

While meat is full of protein, the necessary ingredient to build muscle, there are some vegetarian foods that have it also; beans,

Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green peas, Green pepper, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Mustard green, Onions, Potatoes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnip greens, Watercress, Yams, Zucchini, and many more. Also the most important thing is moderation and weekly exercise.

You don't have to worry about missing any nutrients as long as you know which foods to eat-quinoa and amaranth are two grains that form complete proteins on their own and have the B vitamins. You don't even have to worry about complementary proteins that way.

Eating meat does not neccecarily keep you fit, however it does give you protein and the right nutreients, so it makes you healthy.
