in prime position fuel valv buypasses the vacume of the fuel tank to give carbs a shot of fuel before starting after not bieng used for awile .
when left on prime carbs over fill into airbox or into the cillinders .
what sucks is NATURE OF THE BEAST ! most bikes with the prime feature will do this .
