Migrating from Explorer to Flock

I just read about the new version of the flock browser. Is it easy to migrate to it from Internet Explorer?

Yes, Flock has a feature that lets you import all of your settings from either Internet Explorer or Firefox. It supports all of the features IE7 has, but if you used any plug-ins that are not supported their settings will not be imported.

The best thing is just switch over to firefox. Flock is built on firefox and just adds a few features. You can get all of these features by using firefox add-ons. Installing another browser that has all of these built in is just unnecessary.

Hey gargamel,

 

I think you'll find that Flock 1.0 truly integrates all our advanced features in a way Firefox extensions can't.  You can drag and drop across features: photos and videos from our Mediabar to our People sidebar, articles from our feed reader to our blog editor, etc.  Our features know when you have activated a service in Flock and make it available across our various features, rather than requiring specialized setup for each.  And, significantly, Flock keeps these features from clashing with each other and fighting for performance: it's all optimized to work together.   Additionally, many Firefox extensions actually work in Flock if you're looking for additional features. 

 

Give it a chance, you might like it!
