Migrate Direct Attached Xserve Raid to Switched

Is there a way to migrate an Xserve RAID from direct attached configuration to a Fibre Channel switched configuration? I know Xsan requires formatting using its own file system but can an Xserve RAID directly attached and formatted with Xsan later be migrated to a switched fabric configuration?
