Probably the biggest joke is if you search for "classic menus" for Office, excel, etc. It leads you to microsoft's site. You then find a link to download fixes to alter the appearance, but what's this?!?! It's a vendor, and they want your $$$$$!!!!
Oh, what's that you ask? Oh yes, I think I WILL stay with Openoffice. /me counts money saved, enjoys decades old functionality...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it Microsoft. Want to improve the productivity of today's workplace? Why not try concentrating on the real threats to productivity - viruses, spam, and my favorite - spyware (To the creator of smitfraud - burn in hell) Oh, but now that you have Windows Defender, and will most likely begin to cash in on that, I guess it pays to maintain a steady flow of the true threats.
I have never bought Word, or the like, I've had it bundled with new computers, etc. and yet I find myself always just leaving it on, in case I run into some file saved where OpenOffice can't open it, but I find myself 99.9% of the time in Openoffice Writer, while Word collects digital dust. Now, if only everyone started saving in .odt, I think Word might slowly fade into the ether...
