Microsoft Outlook/Internet HELP

How do I set up Microsoft Outlook for a highspeed USB modem connection? It gives me several options HTTP, POP3, IMAP, etc..

Which of these should I choose and where do I get the information that those choices ask for in the next step????

If it's not on the Internet, it doesn't exist.

Hi Mandy. Well, it looks like you are confusing two things here. Outlook has nothing to do with high-speed usb connections. That's how you connect to the Internet. Outlook is smart enough to figure that stuff out by itself. And, since you wrote a question here, obviously, you ARE connected to the Internet!!!

Your question has to do with setting up an EMAIL account in Outlook!

Are you using Hotmail? Or Yahoo? Or AOL? What is your email? That is what you need to know in order to know what to choose. If it's Hotmail, that's HTTP - Hotmail is the only one you can use for Outlook. If you have your own email, like mandy@mandy.com, then you use POP3. That information you get from the guy who set up your domain for you.

And finally, if you have email from cox, or some other providor, then you set it up with instructions provided by them. It's really simple, you just need the basic information - if you let me know what your email address is, I'll let you know who to contact. Smile
